Nicole Schmitt is currently a head and neck surgeon at Johns Hopkins University with a joint appointment at the National Institutes of Health. She completed otolaryngology residency at the University of Washington in Seattle and a fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh. Interests include upper aerodigestive and salivary tumors, endocrine surgery, immune and inflammatory effects of cisplatin, tumor immunology, and surgical education.
