Marvin Estrada, VT, is a veterinary technician and the surgical coordinator in Lab Animal Services at the Research Institute at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He completed five years of training in veterinary medicine at the University of San Carlos in Guatemala, prior to working at The Hospital for Sick Children. Mr. Estrada has helped develop and assisted with all animal surgical projects for the past 22 years, and assists in training surgical residents and fellows in laparoscopic and open procedures. He has also been involved in numerous publications arising from these endeavors.
