Jackson Roush

Jackson Roush, PhD, is Professor and Director of the Division of Speech and Hearing Sciences, University of North Carolina School of Medicine, Chapel Hill, and Section Head for Audiology at UNC's Center for the Study of Development and Learning. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Dr. Roush has been a pediatric audiologist for over 30 years. He has published and presented on a variety of topics related to hearing in children and has served as a member of the Joint Committee on Infant Hearing from 2002-2007. Dr. Roush currently directs a federally funded leadership grant to prepare future pediatric audiologists, and he serves as a member of several state and national advisory boards committed to improving early identification and intervention for deaf and hard of hearing children and their families. Dr. Roush is a Fellow of the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute and an ASHA Fellow. In 2007 he received the Presidential Award from the American Academy of Audiology.
