This text is the author’s thoughtful and effective response to preschool educators’ and speech language pathologists’ frustrations in meeting the needs of the Hispanic family. It will be a positive contribution to our understanding of Hispanic families and their children. This text is primarily a literature review, but the majority of people who know Hortencia Kayser, know that she has stories of families that have succeeded through the efforts of practicing bilingual and monolingual clinicians.
