Gary Weismer, Ph.D.
Gary Weismer, Ph.D., is Professor of
Communicative Disorders and an investigator
at the Waisman Center, University of
Wisconsin-Madison. He received his bachelor’s
and master’s degrees from Pennsylvania
State University and his doctorate
from UW-Madison in 1975. Dr.Weismer’s
research papers concern normal speech
production and various aspects of motor
speech disorders. He is currently serving
as Associate Editor for Speech, Journal
of Speech, Language, and Hearing
Research, and Associate Editor, Motor
Speech Disorders, Folia Phoniatrica et
Logopaedica. Dr. Weismer is a Fellow of
the Acoustical Society of America and his
research has been funded by the NIH for
the past 25 years.
